This is an "eco tour" to Bulls Island. We may see Loggerhead turtles, dolphins, bald eagles and some of the 293 bird species that live in Cape Romain. There are 16 miles of trails and seven miles of sandy beaches. The roads and trails are well tended according to the website.
The cost for the ferry is $40.00 per person. You must register on the Coastal Expeditions' website / https://www.coastalexpeditions.com/bulls-island/ AND on the I'On at Home website. You will give your credit card information to Coastal Expeditions but you will not be charged until the day of the event. You have to cancel 48 hours ahead of time or you will be charged for the trip.
We will meet in the Bilo/N Shelmore parking lot at 7:50AM to carpool and depart at 8:00AM. The ferry to Bulls Island departs at 9AM. They ask that we arrive fifteen to thirty minutes early. You can choose to return on the noon ferry or the 4PM ferry.
Please be aware that there is nothing to buy on the island. You MUST bring your own water, snacks, lunch, bug spray, etc. Be prepared and dress accordingly. There is one restroom.

**Our group has decided to have a monthly hike on the third Tuesday. We plan a long hike, 6 miles+ every third month. Typically, we will meet in the Bilo/Shelmore parking lot at 8:15am to car pool and depart promptly at 8:30am.**
