Witold Rybczynski, Emeritus Professor of Urbanism at the University of Pennsylvania, is the author of twenty books, including Home, How Architecture Works, and a prize-winning biography of Frederick Law Olmsted. He has written for the Atlantic, the New Yorker, and the Wall Street Journal, and has been architecture critic for Slate. He is the recipient of the J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize, the Vincent Scully Prize, and a National Design Award for Design Mind.

Location and Parking Details
The Simons Center for the Arts and The Marion and Wayland H. Cato Jr. Center for the Arts are located on Saint Philip St., between Calhoun and George Streets. The most convenient parking is located in the two city parking garages:
- Wentworth Garage – located at the corner of Wentworth and Saint Philip Streets.
- George St. Garage – located on George and Saint Philip Streets.
