Welcome to IAH!

IAH is where I’On neighbors aged 55+ join together to explore, play, and learn with friends old and new. IAH is part of the nationwide grassroots Village Movement. IAH enables us to have a healthy, active and independent lifestyle and remain in our homes as long as possible.

In summary: We’re a group of over 175 I’On friends committed to living interesting, enriched and independent lives together.

Benefits of Being an I’On At Home Member

Members join for many reasons. Some like the opportunity to be with friends, meet new people and share in IAH’s social and educational opportunities. Others view membership as a kind of insurance policy with benefits. You will feel secure, knowing that we are here for you whenever the need arises.

Learning, Exploring and Playing Together

IAH offers a variety of enriching cultural, social and educational programs, activities and events throughout the year.

Our programs include:

Live concerts in the neighborhood
Private art exhibit and museum tours
Hiking and biking groups
Bocce and croquet games
Holiday and Oktoberfest parties
Driveway drinks
Film discussions
Foreign policy and public affairs discussions
Historic site tours and walking tours
Men’s Golf
Cooking and fashion demonstrations
Wine and spirits tastings
Restaurant explorations

Volunteer Services – Everybody Needs a Little Help Occasionally

Providing neighbors with short term help when needed is part of IAH. Vetted member volunteers are on call when you need things like:

Transportation to stores, medical appointments, events and the airport.
Household chores such as changing light bulbs and smoke alarm batteries, moving furniture, hanging pictures, etc.
Vacation back-up – watering plants and getting mail when you’re out of town.
Help with pets - providing emergency pet care until other arrangements can be made.
Meals - preparing or picking up a meal and delivering it in special cases due to health or injury.
Basic help with computers, cell phones, televisions, etc.
Friendly visits to check on neighbors and provide companionship.
And don’t forget the ‘Loan Zone’ – our IAH site where members lend kid gear, entertainment items, garden & work tools
