About Donating
Membership fees alone are not enough to cover all of I'On At Home's needs. We also depend on donations from neighbors, friends and other interested parties and on support in other ways. Since IAH is an IRS-designated nonprofit organization (EIN 32-0499443), gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
There are two ways to contribute directly to IAH:
- Donate securely with a credit card through Stripe - click here to donate now
- Donate with a check mailed to I'On At Home, P.O. Box 1225, Mount Pleasant, SC 29465
There are also other ways to support IAH that do not depend solely on a personal contribution:
- iGive.com
Many online stores where you already shop will give a small percentage to IAH with each purchase you make. Start at the iGive website, set up your account and select IAH as your charity with following link (you have to do this only once): http://www.igive.com/0PXA7AA , and then you are redirected to the shopping site you choose. Online stores making contributions include The Loft, Overstock, Etsy etc. - AmazonSmile
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice. You must first go to smile.amazon.com to be eligible to receive the matching contribution. On your initial visit to the site, it asks what charity you want to support. We are registered as "Ion at Home." - Matching gifts
Many companies feature a program such as this to match charitable contributions (and even volunteer time) for employees and retirees. Please check to see if yours is one of these by Googling the name of the organization and searching for matching gifts. There you should find the information about whether I'On At Home is a qualified recipient of matching funds and how to apply for your matching gift.
For your information, some sites allow us to use the apostrophe in I’On and some don’t, so if you can’t find us, check both spellings, “Ion at home” and “I’On At Home.”
