I’On At Home’s Mission – and Why Volunteers Are Essential!
The mission of I’On at Home is to provide services and support to enable members to have active, healthy lifestyles and remain in their homes in a cost effective manner. To do this, we need volunteers. They are the heartbeat of I’On At Home. Their responsibilities range from transporting members to appointments, to helping with simple household chores, to helping a member with a new technology device. Volunteers also help the IAH organiztion itself by helping make event flyers, serving on a Board committee, or coordinating a new interest group.
The goals of the I’On At Home Volunteer Program are:
To support the mission of IAH by providing effective and quality services
To ensure volunteers have a pleasant and rewarding service experience
To nurture and build community by developing connections among members and volunteers
To provide opportunities for new friendships to develop among volunteers and members as they participate in social programs,
To make use of the individual talents, skills, and experiences of volunteers to enhance the services IAH offers its members
To recognize the gifts offered through the commitment, time and talents shared by volunteers
