Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the monthly video and meeting via Zoom to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.

The IAH discussion group generally meets the first Monday of the month from 4pm-6pm, 8 months of the year. We meet virtually using Zoom. You will need a computer or tablet with a web camera, a microphone, and speaker. Please join us!

This essay surveys where we are on emissions of greenhouse gases, the current state of global cooperation on climate change, geopolitical impediments to future progress and whether and how the U.S. can potentially contribute to international efforts going forward.
