The Aiken Rhett House is a house museum owned by the Historic Charleston Foundation (HCF). In recent years, HCF has conducted major archaeological research on the property, which yielded thousands of artifacts. The original kitchen and laundry was excavated and is now open to view. After the tour, we have a reservation for lunch at Henrietta's at the Dewberry Hotel, 334 Meeting Street.

There is almost no parking at the Aiken Rhett House, so we will park at the Dewberry and walk to the Aiken Rhett House for the tour. It is about a 6-7 minute walk. Let's plan to arrive at the Dewberry no later than 10:45am, so we can arrive on time at the Aiken Rhett House. After the tour, we will walk back to the Dewberry for lunch.
